Time for RAGBRAI!

Hello Friends! I am leaving for my 4th RAGBRAI on Friday, July 20th. It's been 3 years since my last RAGBRAI in 2009. This will be a different experience. I am going with super Sacramento buddies, Debbie and Steve. My brother-in-law, Brent, will be there from So Cal too. Brent is so much fun on RAGBRAI. I'm leaving my sweet Jettie at home. :( She joined me for RAGBRAI 2009 and quite frankly did not enjoy it. She has also vetoed all tent camping vacations henceforth!

So 3 weeks into my new job, I'm taking a well-earned and much needed vacation!

Now that I found an easy-to-use blog app for my iPad, I will be faithfully sharing photos and RAGBRAI highjinks. Everyone in Sacto, please look out for my sweet Jettie. She will miss me...

The photo below is our buddy Sean, who has labored mightily to wrestle the jammed up handle bar (with a vintage quill stem) from Jett's old road bike, which I will be using in Iowa. Happily the bike is semi-disassembled and safely tucked (kinda jammed actually) into my bike box, ready for Southwest Air on Friday.
