Getting Ready for RAGBRAI 2008!

Hello Loved Ones! (Please bear with me - I am new to blogging.)
Yes, I am heading to RAGBRAI again this year. This will be my 2nd consecutive year. I will go with my brother-in-law, Brent. This will be his 8th year at RAGBRAI. We are both total RAGBARI addicts.
You will recall that RAGBRAI is a 7-day ride across the state of Iowa. We'll travel about 70 miles a day, passing through many small towns and lots of farmland. The ride is basically a rolling party - music, laughter, and lots of crazy, happy cyclists.
Brent was visiting this weekend (with my sister Stacy and nephew Brandon). Brent and I got in 2 great pre-RAGBRAI bike rides. On Saturday, we wore our RAGBRAI 2008 jerseys to the local club ride. This year the jersey has a cornfield and water tower theme. Very appropriate as we'll be surrounded by cornfields for 7 days and the water tower signals our arrival at a meeting town.

On Sunday, Brent, his brother James (a.k.a., the weeping cyst - don't ask), and I climbed from my house to Mt. Baldy Village. It was a massive climb that I enjoyed immensely (especially when I was able to pass Brent up the hill). We decided this day to experiment on our RAGBRAI message boards. We want to post a new message to our fellow cyclists each day we are on the ride. As any cyclist knows, the best spot for messaging is the back of the calves. Luckily, Brent and I are currently tatt-free on that little piece of bodily real estate, so we'll have ample room to write. Here's our first try.

We are actively soliciting ideas for message suggestions. This is what we have accumulated thus far:

Meet me at the beer garden

Ride like a girl

Got EPO? (we'll do anything to enhance our performance)

Hold your line

On your left

Hammer Hammer Hammer!

Where's Lance?

5 rows back (a reference to our daily visits to the cornfields)

Start sending in your suggestions. RAGBRAI is only 32 days away! http://www.ragbrai.org/
